He usually lives with Magnus who helps him to adapt to his new lifestyle starting a new carreer similar as hunt, related with law and justice or something artistic. They have kids and Alec is completly out and pride.
At the inverse trope Alec is kidnapped or changed as baby and grow up as a mundane but then he develops the sight and learn about shadowhunter’s heredity. He usually knows his family and other downworlders like Magnus.
